The Public Investment Fund-backed organisation has signed supply deal with Barns Café to boost Saudi Arabia’s fledgling coffee growing industry
The Saudi Coffee Company has signed new deals to supply Jeddah-based coffee chains Barn’s with Saudi-grown coffee. Founded in May 2022, the Saudi Coffee Company is seeking to develop the domestic coffee industry through sustainable agronomy, education and trade deals.
The deals will see the Saudi Coffee Company supply 650-store Barn’s with locally grown specialty coffee. Saudi Coffee Company struck a total of five new supply deals at the two-day PIF Private Sector Forum in Riyadh.

With our strategic partnerships and collaborations, we reiterate our commitment to sustainability and sector growth, both locally and globally – proudly contributing to the kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the diversification of the economy,” said Khalid Abu Theeb, CEO, Saudi Coffee Company.
Backed by SAR 1.2bn ($320m) investment from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), the Saudi Coffee Company has set goals of increasing coffee production from 300 to 2,500 tons annually by 2028 and planting 10 million coffee trees in the Jazan region within the next 10 years.
