The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has officially announced its partnership with coffee brand Barn’s. Under the agreement, Barn’s will become the exclusive coffee brand of the Esports World Cup , with a stand where the brand will offer drinks to attendees.
Barn’s joins the list of EWCF partners, which includes real estate megaproject Qiddiya and video game publisher Level Infinite . Both were announced earlier this year, at a time when the company aims to transform Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, into a nerve center for electronic sports and gaming.
The Esports World Cup made headlines when a prize pool of more than $60M was first announced, the largest in the history of the industry, spread across 19 titles. The competition will begin in July and will last eight weeks.
Backed by the Saudi Government, the Esports World Cup is part of one of the country’s many initiatives to expand in the gaming and electronic sports sector. However, the EWC has sparked controversy several times, referring to the country’s investments as “imagewashing” in order to distract attention from human rights violations.
We are pleased to announce Barn’s, one of the most beloved coffee brands in the Kingdom, as a Title Partner of the Esports World Cup. The Esports World Cup provides an ideal stage for brands like Barn’s to connect with a passionate and expanding audience, right in the heart of gaming and competition. Joining forces with a beloved and authentic brand like Barn’s is a clear sign of EWC’s commitment to nurturing impactful collaborations that put our fans, and their experience, at the forefront of everything we do.Mohammed Al Nimer, Sales Director of the Esports World Cup Foundation
